NAME
uucheck - check the uucp directories and permissions file
SYNOPSIS
/usr/lbin/uucp/uucheck
[-v][
-x debug_level ]
DESCRIPTION
The
uucp commands, including uucheck, are targeted for removal from HP-UX; see the WARNINGS
below.
uucheck checks for the presence of the files and directories required by
uucp (see uucp(1)).
uucheck is executed from the UUCP makefile before the installation occurs.
uucheck also checks for
various obvious errors in the
/etc/uucp/Permissions
file.
Options
uucheck recognizes the following options and command-line arguments:
-v (verbose) Print a detailed explanation of how
uucp programs will interpret the
Permissions file.
-x debug_level
Debug. debug_level is a single digit; the higher the number, the more detail
returned.
Note that
uucheck can only be used by the super-user or uucp.
WARNINGS
Use of
uucp commands, including uucheck, is discouraged because they are targeted for removal from
HP-UX. Use ftp(1) or rcp(1) instead.
