Options
-all Boot all virtual partitions regardless of the autoboot attribute.
-auto Boot all the virtual partitions that have their autoboot attribute set to AUTO.
-B boot-device
Boot the virtual partition using the boot device at the hardware path boot-device.
-b kernel-path
Boot the virtual partition using the kernel kernel-path, such as
/stand/vmunix.prev
,
instead of the default kernel
/stand/vmunix
.
-o boot-options
Boot the virtual partition using one or more of the following boot-options. If the boot-options
string contains spaces, it must be quoted. For example,
-o "-f22 -i4".
-aD device
Specify the dump device. The device path must be enclosed in parentheses. For
example, -aD (0/0/0/3/0.6.0)

-f number
Pass number as the flags word to the loaded image. The space after
-f is optional.
-i run-level
Set the initial run-level for init (such as -is for single-user mode); see init(1M).
The space after
-i is optional.
-lm Set LVM maintenance mode.
-lq Set quorum override option.
-vm Set VXVM maintenance mode.
-p partition-name
Boot the virtual partition partition-name.

readdb - read alternate partition database
Synopsis
readdb filename
Description
The readdb command can be used to read an alternate valid partition database file name for partition
configuration information.
filename must be an absolute path and must reside on a HFS file system.
This command can only be used until vpmon has successfuly loaded a partition database.

reboot - reboot hard partition
Description
The reboot command will reboot the entire hard partition. Other hard partitions are not affected.
Each virtual partition should be shut down prior to invoking the reboot command. A confirmation
prompt is provided, but if you accept confirmation of the reboot while any virtual partition is running,
the reboot command will bring down the running partitions ungracefully.

toddriftreset - set vPars time-of-day drift to zero
Description
The toddriftreset command resets to zero the time-of-day drift value of all the virtual partitions.
