A SCSI pass-through driver must be conﬁgured and the device ﬁle created before this command can be

used to manipulate the autoloader.

For devices connected to HPPB SCSI interface cards, the spt pass-through driver must be conﬁgured. See

scsi_pt(7).

For devices connected to all other SCSI interface cards (HSC, PCI, or EISA), the sctl pass-through driver

must be conﬁgured. See scsi_ctl(7).
