Red Hat Directory Server B.08.00.01 for HP-UX Release Notes and Supplemental Instructions - Updated August 2010
1.4 Documentation
Information about Red Hat Directory Server documentation and related documentation is
included in Section 6.2 (page 56).
1.5 Red Hat Directory Server 8.0 for HP-UX Directory Path Differences
To conform to the standard file hierarchy system used on HP-UX, the HP-UX installation script
installs the Red Hat Directory Server product in directories that differ from the directory paths
shown in the Red Hat documentation set. Use Table 2-1 (page 24) to map the documented paths
to the HP-UX paths.
NOTE: The HP-UX installation scripts for previous Directory Server products (Red Hat Directory
Server 7.1 and Netscape Directory Server 6.11 and 6.21) install files in the directories listed in the
column “Red Hat Directory Path.”

1.6 Known problems Fixed in Red Hat Directory Server B.08.00.01
This release of Red Hat Directory Server corrects the following problems found in the previous
release of the product:
• The log rotationinfo file is corrupted at startup. As a result, log files that were created
before the restart are not removed after they expire.
• Replicas might be inconsistent if a master experiences a disorderly shutdown while being
updated. In particular, when the master is started again and resumes replication, it might
fail to transmit the last change before the shutdown occurred.
• When a replica with a changelog is started up after a disorderly shutdown, it fails to send
changelog updates that occur before the shutdown until a new update is received. This
delays the replication process.
