Red Hat Directory Server B.08.00.01 for HP-UX Release Notes and Supplemental Instructions - Updated August 2010

This script is similar to the setup script provided in previous Directory Server products.
/opt/dirsrv/sbin/setup-ds.pl
The setup-ds.pl script creates a standalone Directory Server instance. This script is
similar to the setup-ds-admin.pl script, except it does not prompt for information
about the Administration Server or Configuration Directory Server.
1.3 Differences Between Red Hat Directory Server 7.1 and Red Hat
Directory Server 8.0
The following list describes the differences between HP Red Hat Directory Server 7.1 and Red
Hat Directory Server 8.0:
Red Hat Directory Server 8.0 does not support the following features:
— IM Presence Information
— DSML Gateway
— Phonebook and Gateway web applications
Red Hat Directory Server 7.1 uses a proprietary web server for directory administration
server components. Red Hat Directory Server 8.0 uses the common Apache web server for
its administration server components. For more information, see Section 2.1.5.1 (page 20).
The SD package for Red Hat Directory Server 7.1 installs the entire product under one
directory, /var/opt/netscape/server7. Red Hat Directory Server 8.0 for HP-UX installs
files in the following directories:
/opt/dirsrv
/etc/opt/dirsrv
/var/opt/dirsrv
For more information about the files and directories installed with Red Hat Directory
Server 8.0, see Table 2-1 (page 24).
The directory path locations on HP-UX systems differ from the locations in the Red Hat
documentation. For more information, see Section 1.5 (page 12).
