Security
This section highlights security items you should be aware of.
HP provides the HP-UX Bastille product, available from http://www.hp.com/go/softwaredepot
at no charge, for enhancing system security.
Restrict outside access made available through PRM
PRM’s remote management daemon (prm3d) and remote monitoring daemon (prmagt) expose
a system to access from outside the system. If you would like to restrict access, stop these
daemons with the following commands:
# /opt/prm/bin/prm3d -stop
# /opt/prm/bin/prmagt -stop
You can ensure these daemons are not started when a system boots by setting the following
variables to 0 in the file /etc/rc.config.d/prm:
PRM_RMTCONF
PRM_SNMPAGT
