PRM Release Notes
Known problems and workarounds
Chapter 1 7
No PSET PRM group data from GlancePlus
Issue
GlancePlus has not been enhanced to recognize processor sets. If you have
defined PRM groups based on processor sets in your PRM configuration,
GlancePlus returns no information for these PRM groups.
Workaround
For configurations with processor sets defined, use the prmmonitor
command instead of GlancePlus.
Inconsistent reporting from prmconfig
Issue
When using prmconfig -s -f configfile, where configfile is a file
other than the configured file currently in use, prmconfig reports on the
currently active configuration rather than configfile.
Workaround
The supplemental cross checks done by the -s option are still valid, only the
configuration information may be inconsistent.
Daemons not restarting after installing PRM
Issue
Starting with PRM Version C.02.00.02, PRM includes a new product fileset
PRM-Sw-Krn.PRM-KRN. This fileset attempts to prevent system reboots
when you upgrade to future PRM versions: If the version of the fileset being
installed is the same as the version of the fileset already installed, there will
be no reboot. Similarly, starting with PRM Version C.02.03, additional
changes were made in an effort to prevent reboots. For information, see the
“What’s in this version” section.
Without the reboot though, the prm3d daemon and the PRM SNMP agent,
prmagt, do not restart.
