Accessing LAPACK
Only 64-bit addressing is supported in the LAPACK8 library.
The file name of the archive LAPACK and LAPACK8 libraries are liblapack.a
and liblapack8.a respectively. The LAPACK shared library for PA is liblapack.sl
and is liblapack.so for all other operating systems.
Performance of your applications is better when you use archive libraries.
However, if you need to keep executable files to a minimum size, you can use
shared libraries.
The LAPACK library contains parallelized subprograms. Refer to Appendix C,
“Parallelized Subprograms,” for a list of HP LAPACK parallelized subprograms.
If you run your program under HP-UX version 11i or greater with multiple
processors, refer to “Parallel processing” on page 643 for additional information
about linking your program.
