This release notes discuss the HP-UX 11i v2 (December 2009) release of the Support Tools Manager (STM).
Overview
The Support Tools Manager (STM) provides a set of online support tools for the HP-UX system, enabling you to
verify and troubleshoot system hardware, and to examine system logs.
STM offers several tool types, including Information tools, Verifiers, Exercisers, Expert tools, Firmware Update tools,
Diagnostics and Utilities.
Pre-requisites
Following is the software pre-requisite for installing Diagnostics and Support Tools:
EMS version A.04.20.23 or later
Note: The requirements are available on the Operating Environment (OE) media.
Defect Fixes
The following defects are fixed for the HP-UX 11i v2 December 2009 release and is supported on both HP Integrity
and HP 9000 systems:
QXCR1000972527
CPU expert tool fails to display the CPU status. This issue is now fixed.
QXCR1000953113
Diagmond process takes longer time to to bring up the daemons by running ID modules on all Logical Unit
Number (LUN) paths. This issue is now fixed.
QXCR1000962885
cmc_em and / or registrar consumes excessive CPU usage. This issue is now fixed.
QXCR1000972527
OnlineDiag tool library for CPU failed to identify whether the machine is cellular or not. This caused the expert
tool on CPU to get aborted. This issue is now fixed.
