This release notes discuss the HP-UX 11i v1 (June 2009) release of the Support Tools Manager (STM).
Overview
The Support Tools Manager (STM) provides a set of online support tools for the HP-UX system, enabling you to
verify and troubleshoot system hardware, and to examine system logs.
STM offers several tool types, including Information tools, Verifiers, Exercisers, Expert tools, Firmware Update tools,
Diagnostics and Utilities.
Pre-requisites
Following is the software pre-requisite for installing Diagnostics and Support Tools:
EMS version A.04.20.11 or later
Note: The requirements are available on the Operating Environment (OE) media.
Defect Fixes
The following defects were fixed for the current release:
QXCR1000928858
The severity of the event 7082 in IPMI Forward Progress Log Monitor has been reduced to Information.
QXCR1000909962
Diagmond process tries to enable the monitors using monconfig and waits in the accept system call when it
returns ENOBUFS error.
Known Problem and Workaround
Symptom: System port scan software can cause diagmond process to exit.
