Select Device(s)
Before you can run a tool, you select the device or devices on which the tool is to be run. You can select a device in
several different ways:
To select a specific device for testing, click on its icon on the system map.
To select multiple devices for testing, click on the first icon and shift-click on each additional icon, representing
the devices you want to test.
To select all devices go to the Device Menu pulldown in the Main Menu Bar and click on Select All.
More advanced methods for selecting devices:
To select only specific device types go to the Device Menu pulldown in the Main Menu Bar, click on Unselect
All; then click on Select Class....
To select specific device types in addition to devices previously selected, go to the Device Menu pulldown in the
Main Menu Bar, and click on Select Class....
To unselect specific device types, while leaving other devices/device types selected for verification, click on
Unselect Class....
NOTE: If you chose Select Class... or Unselect Class..., a dialog box will be displayed, prompting you to enter the
appropriate device class qualifiers, such as "Disk/Hard"; enter the information requested, and click "OK" when you are
done.

Get Information on a Device
To get information about a hardware device(s), run an information tool:
1. Select Device(s).
2. If desired, Select/Set Test Options.
3. Go to the Tools Menu pulldown in the Main Menu Bar.
4. Move the cursor to the Information cascade menu.
5. Select Run.
The device icon will change color, depending upon the state of the device, and the result of the tool's operation:
A green icon means the operation was successful.
A red icon indicates a device failure. View the Failure Log.
A yellow icon indicates a problem running the tool. View a Tool's Activity Log.

6. To see the device information obtained by the information tool, View the Information Log.
