This release notes discuss the HP-UX 11i v1 (April 2012) release of the Support Tools Manager

(STM).

Overview

The Support Tools Manager (STM) provides a set of online support tools for the HP-UX system,

enabling you to verify and troubleshoot system hardware, and to examine system logs.

STM offers several tool types, including Information tools, Verifiers, Exercisers, Expert tools, Firmware

Update tools, Diagnostics and Utilities.

Pre-requisites

Following is the software pre-requisite for installing Diagnostics and Support Tools:

EMS version A.04.20.11 or later

Note: The requirements are available on the Operating Environment (OE) media.

Defect Fix The following defect was fixed for the current release: • QXCR1001098323 Problem: rp4440 systems were reporting ia64_corehw event #104011 "Power Unit : Redundancy lost or not present." These are incorrect messages as no hardware fault exist on any of the servers. Problem Description: The ia64_corehw monitor when making a GET_SENSOR_READING IPMI call on sensor 0xCF is returning reading of 0x02.
