Online Diagnostics A collection of tools that enables you to monitor and test server hardware.
OnlineDiag The name of the bundle that includes the Online Diagnostics software.

Peripheral Status
Monitor
A monitor that converts events detected by an EMS Hardware Monitor to a change in hardware
resource status.
polling An event-tracking method in which a monitor checks the status of its hardware resources at regular
intervals, typically every 60 minutes.
ProviderSvcsBase The ProviderSvcsBase product offers interface for user space processes (typically, but not limited
to, WBEM Indication Providers) to retrieve error logs from HP-UX Kernel. Using these error logs
WBEM Indication Providers generate WBEM indications, when an event of interest occurs on the
system.
psmctd The Peripheral Status Client or target daemon used to monitor the status of hardware resources.
psmmon The utility used to monitor the status of resources recognized by the psmctd daemon.

set_fixed The utility used to manually change the status of a hardware resource from DOWN to UP.

A configuration file that contains the monitoring requests currently defined for the monitor.
Support Tools
Manager
A component of Online Diagnostics that manages a collection of support tools that you can use
