Tape Products
All the tape products in the following table are monitored by the SCSI Tape Devices Monitor
.
IMPORTANT: The HP StorageWorks SDLT 160/320 GB Tape Drive and the HP Ultrium 460 External Tape Drive
are not supported by the OnlineDiag product. Some STM tools may function, but again, these tools are not
supported. The diagnostics tools and utilities that support these devices is HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools
(L&TT). These tools can be downloaded free of charge at:
http://www.hp.com/support/tapetools
IMPORTANT: Users must disable this monitor during a backup. There is a chance that the EMS polling will
interfere with the backup.
Note that support for many devices was added in the March 2000 (IPR 0003) and June 2000 (IPR 0006) release of
STM.
