Announcement
HP-UX Linker and Dynamic Loader provide linking and dynamic/shared library loading functionalities
supported in Unix (SVR4 (System V Release 4) standards). The linker toolset uses the ELF (Executable
and Linking File format) object file format on Integrity systems and PA64 systems, and the SOM
(System Object Module) file format on PA32 systems.
New features in this release
This section describes new features introduced in this release of HP-UX Linker, Libraries, and Tools.

Performance and other improvements in linker during procedure elimination
In this release, the performance of linker is improved in the procedure elimination phase, and the
linkage (+Oprocelim) is faster.
Linker is now enhanced to remove the debug information of the eliminated procedures along with
the eliminated procedures in +Oprocelim link.
These improvements are available for ELF linkage on both Integrity and PA64 systems.
New feature in linker to create separate debug information file
In this release, linker provides a new feature of creating a separate debug information file. Using
this feature, it is possible to dump all the debug information in a separate file and not include them
