ASE Changes [11.0]

Chapter 4

• Printing Asian PCL files to LIPS, PS, ESC/P, and Japanese PCL printers is no longer supported. Table 4-2

shows the Asian PCL files that can no longer be printed using the following model files as of HP-UX

Release 11.0.

• Various printing options supporting the lp spooler and HPDPS have been removed as of this release. For

details, see the HP-UX file /usr/share/doc/PRINT-ASE-NOTE.

JSE

The following changes have been made to the JSE:

• The printers listed in Table 4-3 are now supported.

• 106/109 Keyboards have been added to keyboard support.

• Some UDC files have been removed, renamed, and resized.

• Japanese Intellifont is no longer supported. Use the TrueType option of Ricoh instead.

• Japanese FA/FM fonts are no longer supported.
