wlitrace(1M)
Optional WLI Product Required
wlitrace(1M)
The keyword all can be used for {levlist } to select all levels.
-m {mlist} A comma-separated list of kernel modules that will be assigned the levels designated
with the -l option. Valid kernel modules that comprise {mlist } are returned with the
-p
option.
The
-l option must be used with the
-m option on the same command line.
The keyword
all may be used for {mlist} to select all kernel modules.
-p Prints out the list of kernel modules that can contribute trace messages and levels that
can be assigned.
-s Updates wlitrace attributes stored in the system configuration file, wlisys.conf (4).
The following
keyword={value} pairs comprise the valid attribute set:
path=path The location of the wlitrace
message log. If path is not an abso-
lute location, it will be relative to the working directory where the
command is executed. The default value of path is
/var/wli/wlitrace.log
.
If the trace log exceeds the value logsize , it is saved at location
path
.bak and a new trace log file is opened at location path .
size=logsize The size, in megabytes, which the trace log can attain. The default
value is 20, the maximum is 1024, and the minimum is 1. If logsize
is outside the value bounds, it is automatically reset to the exceeded
bound.
modules={mlist} A comma-separated list of kernel modules that will be assigned the
levels designated by the levels={levlist } attribute. Valid kernel
modules that comprise {mlist } are returned with the -p option.
The
levels={levlist} attribute must be specified with the
modules={mlist} on the same command line.

kernel modules designated with the modules={mlist} attribute.
Valid levels that comprise {levlist } are returned with the -p
option.

The keyword
all can be used for {levlist } to select all levels.
boot=[on|off]Ifboot=on, a trace session will commence during WLI initializa-
tion, which happens early in system startup following mounting of
the root file system in read/write mode.
For a
boot=on initiated session, the module levels are obtained
from the system configuration file as if the session were started
with the -c option.
If
boot=off, initialization tracing is disabled. The default is
boot=off.
RETURN VALUE
wlitrace returns the following:
Failure A message and non-zero exit code.
Success An exit code of 0.
