multiple instances to be created for a container. The default instance is 1 unless otherwise specified
for a template and service.
-import [<container_name>]
Import a container from the tar (1) formatted exchange file.Ifa HP-UX container name is specified
the imported container is created with the new container name instead of the name in the exchange
file.
The network service will be reconfigured during the import operation if the container name has
changed. Additional variable input will be required. Refer to the system and workload template
descriptions below for more information.
-l, -list [<container_name>]
List the configurations that have been configured for the specified template. If no container name is
specified, all containers are listed. If no template is specified, all templates are used. If no service is
specified, all services will be listed. When used with the -verbose option, the detailed configuration
contents will be displayed.
-preview
Preview the import of the specified exchange file to validate that the container can be successfully
imported onto this server. This option requires the -import option and suppresses any import
activity, displaying the results that would be performed for an import operation.
-r, -replace container_name
Replace all or part of the system configuration for the specified container. If no template is specified,
configuration for all currently applied templates will be replaced. If no service is specified, srp will
replace all configuration changes previously applied for this container for the specified template.
-tune
Modify a selected set of tunable container parameters. This option currently supports adding and
deleting device files for a container.
-s, -service servicename
Specify the service(s) to configure:

admin HP-UX container administrator
init HP-UX container filesystem, startup and shutdown scripts
prm Process Resource Management
login HP-UX container login via pam_security
network
IP address and network interface management
ipfilter Ipfilter host firewall rules

If no service is specified, the default values generated by srp_sys are applied.
-start [<container_name>]
Start the HP-UX container.Ifno HP-UX container is specified, start all the containers.
-status [<container_name>]
Report status of containers configured on the system. The HP-UX container name, if present, must
be specified immediately after -status.Ifno HP-UX container name is specified, status is displayed
for all containers. Status information includes the name, type, state of the container, subtype, and
the root of the container’s filesystem (ROOTPATH).
Adding the -verbose option will add network, resource, and IPFilter usage information to the out-
put. Verbose output can be requested in
XML format using the -xmloutput and -verbose options
together.
-stop [<container_name>]
Stop the HP-UX container.Ifno HP-UX container is specified, stop all the containers.
-t, -template templateName
Identify the template file to use for this add operation. Template files can be found in the
/etc/opt/hpsrp/templates directory.
