parstatus(1)
For OA Based Partition Management Systems
parstatus(1)
This run-state is displayed while an MCA of an nPartition is being pro-
cessed.
MCA
The nPartition definition exists in the current partition specification.DEFINED
The nPartition definition defined in an alternate partition specification.ALT_DEFINED
Possible run-states of an active nPartition are listed below.
The nPartition normally reaches this run-state from the ACTIVATING run-
state when the nPartition is marked as active. This is a transitional run-
state and normally reaches EFI run-state.
FWBOOT
The nPartition reaches this run-state after the firmware boot process
launches the EFI shell.
EFI
The nPartition reaches this run-state after the operation system is launched.
This is a transitional run-state and normally reaches UP run-state.
OSBOOT
The nPartition is in this run-state when the operating system is completely
functional.
UP
SHUT The nPartition is shutting down gracefully
This run-state is displayed while a shutdown/reboot of an nPartition is being
processed.
DEACTIVATING
This run-state is displayed while a reset of an nPartition is being processed.RESETTING
An MCA has occurred in the nPartition and is being processed.MCA
This run-state is displayed when an INIT of an nPartition is being pro-
cessed.
INIT
The nPartition in an unknown (error) run-state.UNKNOWN
The health status of the nPartition.
Possible status of an inactive nPartition is listed below.
All inactive nPartitions have a health status of OK regardless of the health of the resources
owned by the nPartition.
OK
Possible status of an active nPartition are listed below.
This indicates that all resources owned by the nPartition are healthy.OK
(Degraded ). This indicates that one or more resources owned by the nPartition has been
indicted.
D
The ILM/SLM information.
For an active nPartition, this represents the actual ILM/SLM allocated. For an inactive nPartition,
this represents the user requested ILM/SLM values.
When displaying resource-related information, parstatus includes the following health status for
resources:
An invalid status indicates that there is no resourceInvalid
