Options
If no options are specified,
itutil displays all the IT-API-aware interface adapters on the current node
with basic details such as adapter name, hardware path, number of spigots, and so forth.
itutil recognizes the following options:
-c Displays Reliable Connection details for the interface adapter(s).
-d trace|notrace
interface_name
Downloads, with
trace, a trace, or with
notrace, the performance version of the firmware
onto the adapter. You must reset (with
-R) the adapter for this version of the firmware to be
activated. Requires superuser privileges.
-d file fw_file interface_name spigot_id
Downlods specified firmware onto the adapter. You must reset (with
-R) the adapter or the
reboot of the system is required for this new version of the firmware to be activated. Requires
superuser privileges.
-d switch_fw interface_name spigot_id
Displays the current firmware version of the HP blade switch. Requires superuser privileges.
-i interface_name
Shows information about the specified interface adapter only. This option applies to the
-r,
-s, -T, and -c options. The interface name is displayed in the interface adapter name field
when you invoke itutil without any options.
-l GID interface_name spigot_id
Tests link level connectivity from interface_name spigot_id , with the remote spigot specified by
GID.
-n count
Sets the number of packets to transmit. The default value for count is 1. If count is 0,
itutil
transfers frames indefinitely until it receives an interrupt signal (defined by the user shell).
-r Resets the statistics for the interface adapter(s). Requires superuser privileges.
-R interface_name
Resets the adapter. If there are applications or processes that are using the adapter, the
administrator has the choice of force resetting the adapter after killing those applications or
exiting without resetting the adapter. Requires superuser privileges.
-s Displays statistics for the interface adapter(s). The statistics are divided into two kinds:
adapter-specific transport-specific counters and InfiniBand performance management port
counters.
-t transport_type
Shows information about the specified transport type. The transport type supported currently
is IB.
-T Displays the list of InfiniBand spigots reachable from the interface adapter(s). The list is
displayed for each local spigot. The list contains the network address and the node description
as advertised in the InfiniBand fabric for that spigot.
-x interface_name spigot_id get_speed
Displays the speed of the interface adapter.
Operands
itutil recognizes the following operands:
count Number of packets to send. If count is 0,
itutil sends packets until it receives an
interrupt signal. Default value is 1.
GID Network address for the spigot/port.
interface_name
Identifier for interface adapter on which the command operates.
spigot_id Spigot identifier for spigot/port.
transport_type
Specified supported transport type, currently IB.
