NAME
getrpcport( ) - get RPC port number
SYNOPSIS

host ,
rpcprog_t prognum,
rpcvers_t versnum ,
rpcprot_t proto );
DESCRIPTION
getrpcport() returns the port number for version versnum of the RPC program prognum running on
host and using protocol proto . It returns
0 if the RPC system failed to contact the remote portmap ser-
vice, the program associated with prognum is not registered, or there is no mapping between the program
and a port. If prognum is registered but not with version versnum , it returns the port number of the last
registered (prognum , proto ) pair.
This routine exists for backward compatibility only. Enhanced functionality is provided by
rpcb_getaddr()
(see rpcbind (3N)).
WARNINGS
User applications that call this routine must be linked with
/usr/lib/librpcsvc.a
. For example,
