NAME

devnm - device name

SYNOPSIS

/usr/sbin/devnm

[ name ... ]

DESCRIPTION

For each name speciﬁed, the

devnm command identiﬁes the special ﬁle associated with the mounted ﬁle

system where the named ﬁle or directory resides.

EXAMPLES

The command:

/usr/sbin/devnm /usr

produces:

/dev/dsk/c1d0s9 /usr

if /usr is mounted on /dev/dsk/c1d0s9

/dev/dsk/*

/etc/mnttab Mounted ﬁle system table.
