thus, it enables you to perform the guided installation in
silent mode.
-N profile_name Specifies the configuration profile name that autosetup
will download from the directory server, if the profile exists.
If the specified profile entry does not exist in the directory
server, autosetup creates it. The default profile name is
ldapuxprofile. The autosetup program uses this
default profile name only if you do not use this option.
-p ds_port_id Specifies the port number for accessing the Windows Active
Directory Server host. This is the port clients access to search
the directory server for entries. The default is port number
389. You need not specify the port if it has already been
specified with the host name.
-q Specifies that autosetup be invoked in silent mode. Silent
mode runs without user intervention. Instead of prompting
for input for parameters, it uses the default values and any
values specified with command-line options or environment
variables. The CA certificate for the specified Windows
domain should be installed before running autosetup.
The domain administrator's DN and password must be
provided by command-line or environment variables.
Moreover, if more than one Active Directory Server is
registered in the DNS domain, the directory server host
name and port number must be specified with command-line
options or with environment variable LDAP_HOSTPORT. If
values are not given for any required parameters that do
not have defaults, silent mode will abort.
-s ds_sslport_id Specifies the port number for accessing the Windows Active
Directory Server host when SSL options are used. The default
is SSL port 636.
-U user_acct_container Valid only for LDAP-UX installations with Windows Server
ADS, this is the user account container (specifying where
the user account should be created). The default is
CN=users. This option is ignored if specified with an
LDAP-UX installation for an HP directory server environment.
-v n Specifies verbose level for debugging purposes, with n
specifying one of the following: 0 (turns off verbose mode),
1, 2, or 3 (specifies the highest level of verbosity).
-x domain_name Specifies the Windows Active Directory Server domain this
host will join; for example, nwest.acme.com. Used only
when the –h option is not used.
3.3.2.2 autosetup environment variables
The following environment variables can be used with autosetup when the corresponding option
(defined in Section 3.3.2.1 (page 119)) is not used:
LDAP_BINDDN Specifies the distinguished name (DN) of a user who has sufficient directory
server privileges to create a new computer account. This typically specifies
the domain administrator's distinguished name (DN). When installing LDAP-UX
for the first time in a Windows Domain, it can be any user who has sufficient
privileges to update the schema on the directory server and add a new
computer account and password to the cn=computers container. When
installing and configuring LDAP-UX to add a host to a Windows domain that
