Step 3. Click on OK on the “Specify Source” window.
Step 4. Highlight T1417AA in the ‘Software Selection’ dialog, then select ‘Mark For
Install’ from the ‘Actions’ menu to install all filesets in the bundle.
Step 5. When you have marked the product components you wantto install, select ‘Install
(analysis)’ from the ‘Actions’ menu.
Step 6. When you have successfully completed the analysis, click on OK from the
‘Analysis’ dialog to load the Kerberos Server filesets.
If you are migrating your Kerberos database from version 1.0 to version 2.0, the
following message is displayed:
The kerberos database dump file needs to be created before you go ahead
with this installation. If this is a migration from Kerberos Server Ver
1.0 to Kerberos Server 2.0, refer to the section Migration, in the
Installing, Configuring and Administering the Kerberos Server on HP-UX
11i.
Ignore the message above, if you have already created the dump file.
Given below is a general warning message, which may occur when you install the
product using swinstall, ignore this message,
Can’t create core transition links since files/directories exist:
/usr/bin/kdestroy -> /opt/dce/bin/kdestroy
/usr/bin/kinit -> /opt/dce/bin/kinit
/usr/bin/klist -> /opt/dce/bin/klist
The swinstall utility loads the filesets. Estimated processing time is five minutes.
If the installation is not successful, an error message is displayed. The cause of the
failure will appear at the end of the /var/adm/sw/swagent.log file.
