Installation Requirements for Kerberos Client C.1.3.5.03 on HP-UX 11i v1

• PHCO_25568
Install this patch to use files to resolve host entries. Install the
libnss_files cumulative patch PHCO_25568 on your system. Add
the following line to the /etc/nsswitch.conf file:
ipnodes : dns files
• PHCO_31061 or a later patch
Install this patch to use PAM Kerberos with this version of Kerberos
Client.
• Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR)
Install TOUR to use IPv6 with Kerberos Client version C.1.3.5.03.
Search for the keyword “TOUR” at http://h20293.www2.hp.com/.
NOTE If you are using Kerberos Client C.1.3.5.03 on HP-UX 11i v2 September
2004, you do not have to install these patches.
Installing PHSS_29487, and PHSS_33384 Patches
If you are installing Kerberos Client C.1.3.5.03 on HP-UX 11i v1, you
must install PHSS_33384. Install PHSS_29487 if you want 64-bit
functionality of GSS-API.
Complete the following steps to install PHSS_29487 and PHSS_33384
patches:
Step 1. Verify if krb5client is installed on your system.
Step 2. If you have krb5client on your system, remove it.
Removing krb5client will restore KRB5-Client (the core product).
Step 3. Install PHSS_29487.
Step 4. Install PHSS_33384.
Step 5. Install Kerberos Client C.1.3.5.03 on your system.
