Compatibility Information and Installation
Requirements
This section details the prerequisites for installing Kerberos Client
version 1.3.5 on HP-UX 11i v1.
Hardware Requirements
HP 9000 workstations and servers with a minimum of 32 MB of memory
and sufficient swap space (a minimum of 50 MB is recommended).
Software and Patch Requirements
The following lists the software and patch requirements:
• HP-UX 11i v1 operating system
• DNS back end patch PHNE_27796
• GSSAPI patch PHSS_29487
NOTE To use 64-bit functionality of GSS-API with Kerberos back end, you
must install PHSS_29487. You must remove any previous version of
KRBCLIENT software from your system before installing
PHSS_29487.
If you are using files to resolve host entries, you must install the
libnss_files cumulative patch PHCO_25568 on your system. Add the
following line to the /etc/nsswitch.conf file:
ipnodes : dns files
To use IPv6 with Kerberos Client version 1.3.5, you must install
IPV6AA, which is part of the Transport Optional Upgrade Release
(TOUR) 2.2. Search for the keyword “IPV6AA” at
http://www.software.hp.com.
• To use PAM Kerberos with Kerberos Client version 1.3.5, you must
install PHCO_31061 or a later patch.
