Chapter 7228
nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn is the IP address of the secondary server.
If the primary server propagates to multiple secondary servers, the
message sequence is displayed for each secondary server.
Step 7. Start the kdcd and the propagation daemon on the secondary server and
verify whether the daemons have started
1. Start the kdcd daemon
# /opt/krb5/sbin/kdcd
2. Start the propagation daemon
# /opt/krb5/sbin/kpropd
3. Verify that propagation has occurred on the secondary server by
using the kdb_dump utility to view the contents of the principal
database on the secondary server. The existence of recently-added
principal accounts indicates successful propagation.
