HPjmeter can be used to identify and diagnose performance problems in Java applications
running on HP-UX. It can be used for both static and dynamic data analysis. For static data
analysis, HPjmeter can analyze profile, GC or heap data generated by the following
command-line options:
-Xeprof
-Xverbosegc
-Xloggc
-XX:+HeapDump
-XX:+HeapDumpOnCtrlBreak
-XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError
-XX:+HeapDumpOnly
-Xrunhprof
When using JDK 1.5.04 or later, the Java VM can generate an Xeprof file using zero preparation
(no command-line option required). HPjmeter can also perform dynamic data analysis with
real-time monitoring of Java applications.
