• ping(1M) verifies network connectivity through the Network Layer and reports
round-trip time of communication time between hosts.
• traceroute(1M) traces the path between hosts at the Network Layer.
• The network interface management (nwmgr(1M)) is a command for LAN and RDMA
interfaces.
IPv6 Additions to Network Tracing and Logging
Use nettl to trace traffic through IPv6 Subsystems, or use nettladm. Table 4 below
lists the subsystems available for IPv6 packet tracing.

Use netfmt to format trace records captured by nettl from the IPv6 subsystems.
