Step 1: Verifying HP-UX IPSec Installation
and Configuration Prerequisites
1. Verify that the operating system version is HP-UX 11i version 1
(B.11.11) or HP-UX 11i v2 Update 2 (v2UD2).
To obtain information about the OS, execute the command:
uname -a
2. Check the latest HP-UX IPSec release notes to determine software
dependencies.
To determine the patches installed on the system, execute the
command:
swlist -i
3. Be sure you have root access.
4. If you are migrating from a previous version of HP-UX IPSec, be sure
you have completed the procedures in Appendix C, “Pre-Installation
Migration Instructions” on page 251.
