2. Install the newer version of HP-UX IPFilter.
swinstall -s
IPFILTER_DEPOT_NAME
3. Enable HP-UX IPFilter.
/opt/ipf/bin/ipfilter -e
Remove HP-UX IPFilter
Use the following steps to remove HP-UX IPFilter.
1. Disable HP-UX IPFilter prior to removal.
/opt/ipf/bin/ipfilter -d
2. Remove HP-UX IPFilter.
swremove IPFilter
NOTE A short network outage could be an issue under certain conditions for
some environments. For those users, HP recommends that HP-UX
IPFilter be enabled by rebooting the system after setting the
IPF_START
parameter to 1 in the /etc/rc.config.d/ipfconf file.
For environments not affected by the short network outage this will
avoid a system reboot.
