Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
Software Requirements
The system must have standard HP-UX 11.0, HP-UX 11i version 1, or HP-UX 11i version 2
core products installed on it. It must also have the following patches:
NOTE For HP-UX 11i version 2, no patches are required, but it is recommended that
you install the HP-UX 11i version 2 September 2004 update.
• HP-UX 11.0 and HP-UX 11i version 1 Support Plus general release patch bundles
(XSWGR1100)
• In addition, install the following required dependent patches for your system before you
install HP-UX IPFilter:
— HP-UX 11.0 32-bit system
PHNE_22397 (or newer replacement) ARPA s700_800 11.00 cumulative ARPA
Transport patch
PHCO_22899 (or newer replacement) S700_800 11.00 Som2elf patch
— HP-UX 11.0 64-bit system
PHNE_22397 (or newer replacement) ARPA s700_800 11.00 cumulative ARPA
Transport patch
— HP-UX 11i version 1 32-bit system
PHCO_22989 (or newer replacement) S700_800 11.11 Som2elf patch
— HP-UX 11i version 1 64-bit system

• HP recommends that DLKM users also add the following patches. These patches will
make the DLKM subsystem more robust.
