Overview of HP-UX Internet Express This booklet provides an overview of HP-UX Internet Express, installation steps, and a complete component list. HP-UX Internet Express for HP-UX 11i version 2 contains a collection of HP-UX Internet Express Open Source Web, Internet, and security components that have been tested and are qualified on HP-UX. For more information on the HP-UX Internet Express open source components, see “HP-UX Internet Express Open Source Components” (page 4).

Installing HP-UX Internet Express This section describes the installation process for HP-UX Internet Express. NOTE: If you are installing an HP-UX Internet Express component for the first time, HP recommends uninstalling any previously loaded versions of the open source products.
a. Enter the following swinstall command: $ swinstall -s The swinstall GUI displays. b. c. d. e. f. On the swinstall GUI, select the component or components you want to install from the list. On the Actions menu, select Install. The swinstall program checks your system to be sure the products will install successfully. Click OK after the check is complete. Click Done when the Status field reads Complete. On the File menu, select Exit to exit the swinstall GUI.
c. d. e. f. Use swremove to remove HP-UX Internet Express MySQL. Install the new HP-UX Internet Express MySQL depot. Initialize all individual database directories using the mysql_install_db script. The depot installation automatically creates a default database directory under /var/opt/ iexpress/mysql. Restore each individual database directory using the mysql command. For more information on the mysql command, see the mysql manpages. For more information on migrating to MySQL 5.0.
