INVALID_TP_TYPE
The type parameter was not set to a valid value.
INVALID_TP_NAME
The tp_name parameter specied did not match the name of a dened TP.

occur for this command.

Appendix A, Common Return Codes from snapadmin Commands, lists combinations of primary and secondary
return codes that are common to all commands.
2.59 dene_tr_dlc, dene_ethernet_dlc, dene_fddi_dlc
The define_tr_dlc command denes a new Token Ring DLC. In addition, you can use this command to modify
an existing DLC, if the DLC is not currently active. However, you cannot change the negotiable link support for
an existing DLC; this parameter can be specied only when creating a new DLC.
The define_ethernet_dlc command denes a new Ethernet DLC. It can also be used to modify an existing
DLC, if the DLC is not currently active. The parameters and defaults are the same as for define_tr_dlc,ex-
cept where noted.
The define_fddi_dlc command denes a new FDDI DLC. It can also be used to modify an existing DLC, if
the DLC is not currently active. The parameters and defaults are the same as for define_tr_dlc, except where
noted.

Name of the DLC to be dened. This name is a character string using any locally displayable characters.
