HP-UX Host Intrusion Detection System Version 4.4 Administrator Guide (5900-1634, April 2011)
IDS_SSL_TIMEOUT The timeout value in seconds for the agent to complete a Secure
Sockets Layer handshake with the administration system.
REMOTEHOST The IP address or host name associated with the administration
system's network interface card. This entry is set to the host name
passed to the IDS_importAgentKeys script when the script is
run. See “Configuring a Multihomed Administration System”
(page 31) and “Setting Up HP-UX HIDS Secure Communications”
(page 24).
On a multihomed administration system (one with two or more IP
addresses), this is the address through which idsagent should
communicate with idsgui on the administration system. If a host
name is specified, it must resolve to a unique IP address for the
administration system. When specifying IP address, IPv4 addresses
are specified in dotted decimal notation, and IPv6 addresses are
specified in colon notation. If the INTERFACE variable is set in
idsgui, REMOTEHOST should have the same value.
