HP-UX Host Intrusion Detection System Version 4.1 Administrator's Guide
Click Set Host Name to display the full name of the host in the Host Name
field.
If the host name cannot be determined, the Add Host Error box is displayed
with the message, Unknown Host Name - unable to resolve IP
Address. Click OK and redo this step, making sure to enter a host name.
NOTE: The IP address is the best method for adding a multihomed agent
host. For more information, see “Configuring a Multihomed Agent System”
(page 42).
c. Host Name and IP Address
Enter the host name of the agent host in the Host Name field. Enter the IP
address of the agent host in the IP Address field. The entries are not verified
at this time. Errors are found later when the System Manager tries to access
the agent.
Use this method if your system does not have Domain Name Service (DNS)
enabled.
3. Select a tag from the Tag field dropdown list, or type in a new one. You can use
tags to group agent systems according to your own criteria. New tags are added
to the tag list.
4. Click OK to accept the new agent host, or click Cancel to discard it.
If accepted, the new host is added to the host list. Its Monitored box is unchecked.
