Installing the Depots

Step 4. On each of your agent systems, install one of the agent software depots described in

“Making Depots” on page 28, as follows:

a. Log in as superuser (root) on each HP-UX HIDS agent system.

b. Make sure you are the only user on the system; the installation will require a

reboot.

c. Install one of the following:

• 11i Agent Depot

If your agent system is running HP-UX 11i, install the ids_11i_agent depot:

# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s depotsys:/var/depot/ids_11i_agent
