Step 5. Choose the SDK or RTE 1.3.1 version.
Step 6. Using the instructions on the web site, download the software, for example, to
/var/tmp/sdk_13101os11.depot.
Step 7. Transfer the software to the administration depot using one of the following steps.
a. 11i Admin Depot
If your administration system is running HP-UX 11i and will not be running an
agent, copy the 11i Java software into the ids_11i_admin depot:
# swcopy -s /var/tmp/sdk_13101os11.depot \* \
@ /var/depot/ids_11i_admin
b. 11i Admin+Agent Depot
If your administration system is running HP-UX 11i and will be running an agent,
copy the 11i Java software into the ids_11i_admin+agent depot:
# swcopy -s /var/tmp/sdk_13101os11.depot \* \
@ /var/depot/ids_11i_admin+agent
Installing OpenSSL
In addition to Java, you must also install OpenSSL on your system. OpenSSL A.00.09.07
is the latest version of OpenSSL available at http://www.software.hp.com.
The following are the steps to install the OpenSSL A.00.09.07-d software:
1. Log in as root.
2. Insert the software CD into the appropriate drive if you are installing from the
Application Software CD. If you are downloading the software package from
http://www.software.hp.com, download the depot and follow the instructions
provided in the installation page of the OpenSSL software.
3. Run the following command to install the OpenSSL software:
$ swinstall -s <fully-qualified depot source path> OpenSSL
4. Enter the drive mount point in the Source Depot Path field and click OK. Change the
Source Host Name, if required.
5. Select OpenSSL from the list of available software and choose Mark for Install
from the Actions menu.
6. Select Install from the Actions menu to start the installation.
7. Click OK in the Install Analysis window when the Status field displays a Ready
message.
8. Select Yes to start the installation. swinstall loads the OpenSSL files in
approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
The swinstall command installs the OpenSSL A.00.09.07-d software in the
/opt/openssl directory.
