Random writes represent a more likely application scenario, and tuning VxFS results in enormous
throughput improvements. EVFS throughput is almost equal to clear. Clear CPU utilization was
decreased, but EVFS CPU was increased. This is due to the increased throughput running through the
EVFS driver – the additional encryption/decryption work will always increase CPU load.
