Setting other parameters for the entire system
The remaining parameters for the entire system are optional. If omitted, the value on the system will
be used. The following is a list of all the system-wide parameters:
SYSINFO_DNS_DOMAIN=<DNS domain name>
Default - DNS domain setting on the system is not changed
Status - Optional
Value - The name of the Domain Name Service domain
SYSINFO_DNS_SERVER=<DNS server IP address>
Default - DNS server setting on the system is not changed
Status - Optional
Value - The Domain Name Service server, specified as an IP address in decimal-dot notation (for
example,192.1.2.3)
SYSINFO_LANGUAGE=<language>
Default - The language on the system is not changed.
Status - Optional
Value - A value displayed by locale -a. The language must be installed in the operating system
SYSINFO_NIS_SERVER=<NIS server IP address>
Default - The NIS server on the system is not changed.
Status - Optional
Value - The Network Information Service server, specified as
an IP address in decimal-dot notation (for example, 192.1.2.3)
SYSINFO_TIMEZONE=<timezone>
Default - The timezone setting on the system is not changed.
Status - Optional
Value - A value listed in /usr/lib/tztab
Note:
Due to a defect in the initial implementation of the drd rehost
command, a timezone containing the colon character (“:”) cannot
be specified
.
The SYSINFO_PROCESSED parameter
The SYSINFO_PROCESSED parameter must not be included in the system information file. It is added
by auto_parms(1M) to prevent processing of the file in subsequent reboots.
