4 Before Installing HP-UX DCE Version 1.9

This chapter describes prerequisites and pre installation considerations for installing HP-UX DCE Version

1.9 software.

You should read this chapter before installing HP-UX DCE Version 1.9 software. After reading this chapter,

proceed with the installation instructions in Chapter 5, “Installing HP-UX DCE 1.9,” on page 41

After completing the installation of HP-UX DCE Version 1.9 software, you must conﬁgure a DCE cell if you

have not done so already. Information on HP-UX DCE cell conﬁguration may be found in Chapter 6,

“Conﬁguring HP-UX DCE Cells,” on page 47.
