Printed Documentation

The printed documentation for HP DCE 1.8 consists of HP DCE 1.8

manuals, the OSF DCE documentation set, and two books by O'Reilly

and Associates.

The following manuals are written by Hewlett-Packard:

• Planning and Conﬁguring HP DCE 1.8 (B3190-90074) describes the

HP changes and additions to OSF DCE 1.2.1; it also describes

installing and conﬁguring HP DCE 1.8 and how to migrate from

previous releases of HP DCE to HP DCE 1.8. This document

describes both HP DCE 1.8 clients and servers.

• HP DCE/9000 Version 1.8 Application Development Tools for HP-UX

11i Release Note (B3193-90023) describes the optional product that

comprise the HP DCE 1.8. Application Development Tools for HP-UX

11i. The DCE-C-Tools product assists in the development of HP DCE

1.8 programs written in C. The document also describes the HP DCE

1.8 documentation set, known problemswith HP DCE 1.8, limitations

of HP DCE 1.8, required patches (if any) and similar information.
