Before Installing HP DCE/9000 Version 1.7

Overview

The following is a brief overview of the HP DCE installation process:

NOTE If you are performing an upgrade rather than a new installation, see

Chapter 2, “Migrating to HP DCE 1.7”.

• Verify that hardware and software prerequisites are met at your site.

• Plan where you will install various HP DCE ﬁlesets.

• Load HP DCE software from media to a network distribution area.

• Install ﬁlesets on individual systems.

• If necessary, remove unwanted ﬁlesets using swremove.
