HP DCE Application Development Release Note Announcement Announcement The following information is for Version 1.9 of HP DCE and Integrated Login on HP-UX 11i v2. HP DCE Version 1.9 (HP DCE 1.9) makes the functionality of OSF DCE Version 1.2.1 available on HP systems running HP-UX 11i v2. HP DCE 1.9 also includes new functionality and bug fixes. This document also discusses the features and enhancements of the Integrated Login product that are available on HP-UX 11i v2.
HP DCE Application Development Release Note What’s in This Version What’s in This Version The HP DCE Version 1.9 Application Development Tools, DCE-Core and DCE-Core-Tools on the HP-UX 11i v2 operating systems, enables users to develop HP DCE 1.9 applications. HP DCE Application Development Release Note What’s in This Version New Features The following features have been added at HP DCE 1.9: • A new fileset, DCE-Core DCE-IA64-SHLIB, with DCE runtime library, libdcekt.so, has been added to both the 32-bit and 64 bit versions respectively. They can be located at: — /usr/lib/hpux32/libdcekt.so — /usr/lib/hpux64/libdcekt.so • A new fileset, DCE-COR-IA-RUN, with native IA daemons dced, cdsadv, auditd, rpcd, ep_scavanger and k5dcelogin and a library libdcepvtkt.
HP DCE Application Development Release Note What’s in This Version If the total size of members in any group exceeds the limit specified by LINE_MAX then, the getgrXbyY(), returns members up to the size specified by LINE_MAX. Members beyond that limit are discarded. In the above case, getgrent() will return all the members through successive calls, wherein, each call will return the maximum limit specified by LINE_MAX.
