5.3 Compatibility with HP-UX Containers
HP 9000 Containers A.01.0x is supported with SRP version A.02.0x only.
No version of HP 9000 Containers is supported with HP-UX Containers
(SRP) A.03.00. HP 9000 Containers A.03.0x is supported with HP-UX
Containers version A.03.01 (or later).
6. Migrating from HP 9000 Containers v3
HP 9000 Containers A.03.01 can be installed on a system with no impact to
containers created with HP 9000 Containers A.03.00. However, to utilize
new features and defect fixes, the container needs to be taken offline
and reconfigured using
$ srp -replace <container_name>

section in HP 9000 Containers Administrator's Guide.
7. Migrating from HP 9000 Containers v1
Migrating an HP 9000 container from A.01.0x to A.03.0x classic model
requires downtime and may involve some or all of the following steps:
- Update to HP-UX March 2011 OE (or later)
- Uninstall HP 9000 Containers product A.01.0x
- Install HP-UX Containers A.03.01 (or later)
- Run SRP workload container migration script
- Install HP 9000 Containers A.03.0x
- Run HP 9000 container migration script
Migrating an HP 9000 container from A.01.0x to A.03.0x system model is not
possible without deleting and re-configuring the container. This may also
need some additional environment specific manual steps.

8. Unsupported features in HP 9000 Containers A.03.01
8.1 System management related applications inside the container
8.2 No users or applications are supported in the global container, apart
from those related to system administration or management
8.3 Some legacy HP-UX commands, utilities and applications are known to
fail with large utsname, long hostname (more than 8 characters), large
PID (more than 30000), large base page sizes (greater than 4), numeric
UID and large UIDs/GIDs. To continue using such commands and
applications inside HP 9000 Containers, users are advised not to
configure the HP Integrity HP-UX 11i v3 host with expanded tunables.
