configuration modular and flexible, the Oracle file systems are mounted when the SRP starts.
Each SRP configuration can include a private fstab file (/var/hpsrp/<SRP>/etc/fstab) consisting of
file systems that are mounted and unmounted at SRP stop or start time. The SRP private fstab uses the
same format as the system fstab file. Therefore, any type up file system can be mounted during SRP
start.

Step 1: Creating the SRP
Create an SRP using the /sbin/srp tool. Before you create the SRP, collect the following information:

SRP login group

Default gateway
Oracle:
Oracle user
Oracle DBA group
Oracle product install directory
Oracle DB directory
The following table provides the information required to build an SRP and install the Oracle software
in the SRP private directory. The values in the table are specific to this example and vary from
deployment to deployment.
For Serviceguard integration, multiple shared logical volumes (SLVM) are created.
Serviceguard manages these logical volumes and their associated file systems, so you do
not need to create entries in the SRP private fstab file.
