Step 4: Completing the Serviceguard configuration (only
required for Serviceguard integration)
The following section details the steps needed to complete the Serviceguard configuration for the SRP.
The tasks executed in this section use the Serviceguard commands cmcp and cmexec to copy files
and execute commands on remote cluster nodes from the original node. In this section, you will
complete the following steps:
1. Export SRP configuration.
2. Import SRP configuration on additional cluster nodes.
3. Export LVM configuration for shared logical volumes.
4. Import LVM configuration on additional cluster nodes.
5. Create and apply SRP Serviceguard package.
6. Verify package and SRP configuration.
Before moving to the additional tasks to complete the SRP Serviceguard integration, verify the
following steps are complete as described in previous sections of the document. These steps differ
from a non-Serviceguard deployment:
1. Create the SRP Home directory on a share logical volume.
2. Create the Oracle DBA group an all nodes of the cluster with the same gid number.
3. When creating the SRP (srp –a …), use the following options:
a. assign_ip=no
b. autostart=no
4. Create the Oracle user on all nodes of the cluster with the same uid number and home directory.
5. When starting the SRP (before Serviceguard package is created) manually:
a. Mount the SRP/Oracle file systems.
b. Enable SRP interface (ifconfig …).
c Create SRP default route.
Task 1: Stopping the SRP
Before attempting to proceed with the Serviceguard configuration, stop the SRP, unmount the SRP file
systems, and bring down the SRP interface:
# srp -stop MKTPRD
