Task 3: Creating a database
You do not have to run the orainstRoot.sh script because the inventory pointer file is already
created: /var/hpsrp/MKTPRD/home/ora_mkt/oraInst.loc
When using the runInstaller in the future use the
“ –invPtr/var/hpsrp/MKTPRD/home/ora_mkt/oraInst.loc” option to point to
the SRP inventory pointer.
Using the dbca tool create an Oracle database
$ /var/hpsrp/MKTPRD/apps/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1/bin/dbca
