2 Installing SRP
The HP-UX-SRP bundle consists of two products: CMGR and SRP. To use SRP, you must install
both products in the bundle.
This section describes the steps required to install the SRP bundle. It addresses the following
topics:

System and Environment Requirements
HP-UX SRP requires the following software:
HP-UX 11i Version 3 (B.11.31) for HP 9000 and HP Integrity servers
HP-UX Security Containment Compartment Login. HP recommends that you install HP-UX
Security Containment Extensions version B.11.31.01, which includes the Compartment Login
feature.
HP-UX Security Containment Extensions patch PHCO_38507
The following HP-UX IPFilter, HP-UX IPSec, and HP PRM versions are required to use SRP to
manage these subsystems:
HP-UX IPFilter version A.11.31.15.01 or later
HP-UX IPSec version A.02.01.01 or later
HP Process Resource Manager (PRM) version C.03.03.01 or later
Installing the HP-UX SRP Bundle
To install SRP, follow these steps:
1. Go to HP Software Depot:
http://www.hp.com/go/softwaredepot
2. Search for HP-UX Secure Resource Partition. Read the product information Web page for
the latest updates and release information.
3. Click Receive for Free>>.
4. Enter your registration information. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions and the
Software License Agreement. Click Next.
5. Click Download. Save the HP-UX Secure Resource Partition bundle as a local file on your
system. For example, using the file name /tmp/srp_depot_name.depot.
6. Verify that the depot file is saved on your system by using the following command:
# swlist -d @ /tmp/srp_depot_name.depot
7. To install the bundle, enter the following command:
# swinstall -s /tmp/srp_depot_name.depot HP-UX-SRP

Verify the installation of the HP-UX Configuration Synchronization Manager using the following
steps:
