2.3 Additional requirements for HP 9000 classic containers
If you are using an HP 9000 classic container, the HP-UX OS instance must be dedicated for
hosting a single HP 9000 container. HP 9000 Containers does not support the creation of other
containers, or running applications outside the classic container on the same OS instance. The
only exceptions are system management-related applications.
2.4 Configuring HP-UX SRP
Log in as root user and run the following command:
$ srp_sys setup
Enable PRM only if you want to host multiple containers on the system, and partition resources
(memory and CPU) among these containers. When you use an HP 9000 classic container, disable
PRM because the host system must be dedicated for a single container.
You can either accept the default values for all SRP configuration parameters or select to customize.
Ensure that SSHD on the host is configured to listen to the HP-UX 11i v3 host IP address.
For more information about the configuration parameters, see HP-UX Containers (SRP) A.03.01
Administrator's Guide at www.hp.com/go/hpux-srp-docs.
Reboot the server after configuring SRP.
2.5 Installing HP 9000 Containers
To install HP 9000 Containers and verify the installation, enter the following command:

$ swverify HP9KContainers
